Special Projects

We recently teamed up with MotoCzysz to build many of the functional prototype parts for their E1pc Digital Superbike. This all electric motorcycle went from just a concept to full race bike in under 5 months. Read the article in the October 2009 issue of Motorcyclist.

As seen on the Popular Mechanics website.

We built all of the white parts which is the natural color of our HST Composite as well as the dash and rear cowl which was painted.

Experience

Our staff averages over 20 years of experience in product and tooling design, engineering, injection molding, blow molding, and rapid prototyping. The JonaTek engineering staff can help you develop the best possible product and deliver a fully functional prototype in just days.

Customer Service

Nothing is more important to us then taking care of our customers. Please let us know how we can help you.

SLS Process

JonaTek uses the largest laser sintering machine available, the 3D Systems Sinterstation Pro 230. Our capacity allows us to compete with traditional manufacturing methods for production.

Some of our advantages are no tooling costs, quick turnaround (as quickly as next day), no design limitations (we can build any shape even functional pivots), and incredible strength and thermal properties. Our parts can easily handle continuous 250 degrees F with intermittent blasts up to 570 degrees F with our proprietary infilitration process.

We can build any size or shape design as one piece within our large build chamber, 550mm L x 550mm W x 750mm H. Anything larger can be built in sections then bonded without any loss of strength.

Unique Capabilities

Functional pivots can be created in position - no assembly or seams. The swivel and chain links on the key chain were built in position.

Any shape can be built. The handles on the hammers were created from a clay model. This clay master was laser scanned to capture all of the complex contours and used as build data. It's just like having a 3D copying machine.

The dinosaur skull was built as a single piece. Something like this is impossible using traditional manufacturing methods.

Infiltration

Products can be further enhanced using our proprietary post processing. Our infiltrated parts are fuel and oil resistant with increased strength and heat resistance. Our sealer is temperature resistant up to 570 degrees F. This works great for intake manifolds and other components that must function in high heat applications.

We proudly sponsor the Wayne State University race team. We built the intake manifold, throttle body, and steering wheel used on their race car.

Specialty

Our specialty products are functional intake manifolds, valve covers, engine covers, air boxes and ducts for dyno testing, vehicle testing, or racing. We can produce complete air induction systems including flexible components.
