Process

JonaTek uses the highest capacity laser sintering machine available, the EOS P700. Our capacity allows us to compete with traditional manufacturing methods for production.

Some of our advantages are no tooling costs, quick turnaround from CAD to fully functional parts and assemblies (as little as 1-3 days), no design limitations (we can build any shape even functional pivots), and incredible strength and thermal properties. Our parts can easily handle continuous 250 degrees F with intermittent blasts up to 570 degrees F with our proprietary infilitration process.

We can build any size or shape design as one piece within our large build chamber, 700mm L x 380mm W x 585mm H. Anything larger can be built in sections then bonded without any loss of strength.

Materials

Nylon

We custom blend our own material, glass-filled Nylon, to produce some of the highest quality plastic parts available. Our research and development team strives to consently improve material performance so we may offer the best products to our customers. Products can be further enhanced using our proprietary post processing. Our infiltrated parts are fuel and oil resistant with increased strength and heat resistance. Our sealer is temperature resistant up to 570 degrees F. This works great for intake manifolds and other components that must function in high heat applications.

Rubber

We can create fully functional flexible components using our cast rubber process. We use laser sintering to make the molds that the parts are directly casted from. This process allows us to supply rubber parts in a few days that used to take several weeks in the past. This is great for making air induction bellows, gaskets and seals. There is a wide range of cast rubber materials with different colors and properties. We generally use a 80 durameter black rubber. Let us know what your needs are.

CAD

Have you been given prototypes with large flat spots where it should have smooth contours? Do they tell you to make STL files for them then blame you for poor quality files? We make our own STL files from your 3D solid CAD data. Our design staff is fully trained in UG, I-DEAS, CATIA, Pro-E, AutoCAD, CADKEY, and CADMAX along with some legacy systems such as PDGS and CGS. We use Unigraphics design software along with Magics RP and EOS RP Tools to produce the highest quality STL files. The smooth contours shown on your CAD data will be accurately built into the parts from our machine. You will never see the faceted parts that the competition makes come from us.

Specialty
